Harvest Festival will be celebrated at Epworth following the Sunday service on October 9th, 2022. While the Anglican tradition of holding harvest festivals dates back to 1843, Epworth has held one each October starting in 2004.
Harvest Festival is both a time of thanksgiving for God’s provision, and of generosity because we recognize that human effort alone can’t make crops grow, and we are all stewards of God’s blessings. We practice our stewarship by donating food to those who are less fortunate. Specifically, we collect food during the Sunday service that will be delivered to the Boise Rescue Mission to feed the homeless.
This year’s celebration will be in Winstead Park, which offers much more room to gather. While the meal is a pot luck, the main course will be catered by Neighbor Tim’s BBQ. The weather is expected to be very pleasant. Come join our celebration!
