As the school year began, Pastor John and his boys (Josiah, Stephen, and Asher) delivered much-needed school supplies to Koelsch Elementary. This has been an annual effort by Epworthies for many years, donating everything from paper and pencils to Kleenex and backpacks. The cost of buying school supplies can be daunting for many local parents, and Epworthies know that one of the best ways to have a positive impact and demonstrate our love for our community is through our schools. Pamela Dietz, the new principal of Koelsch was there to receive the supplies, along with some of her staff.
Epworth also made “goody bags” for the teachers and staff of Mountain View Elementary, which is also very close by. This was our way to welcome them back after the Summer break and show our appreciation for all they do for local kids (some of whom attend Epworth). The goody bags included snacks, post-it notes, and Epworth pens, among other things.
