Epworth held its annual Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 13th this year. It is a time to recognize our many blessings from Christ, which prompts generosity to others as our proper response. Harvest Festival is an Anglican tradition dating back to 1843, and has been an annual celebration at Epworth for years.
Epworthies celebrate Harvest Festival by bringing food items to donate to those in need. The food collected this year went to The Boise Rescue Mission’s City Light home for women and children. This may have been our biggest collection yet!
Immediately following the service, we celebrate with a wonderful shared meal. The parish hall was packed with decorated tables and chairs. Everyone enjoyed the food and the fellowship. If you missed it this time, watch for the Harvest Festival next year!
