Christmas Eve at Epworth Chapel on the Green
December 14, 2015
The white and gold altar banked with poinsettias, candles shimmering in every corner, a festive congregation singing:
The snow lay on the ground,
The stars shone bright,
When Christ our Lord was born
On Christmas night.
Venite adoremus Dominum;
Venite adoremus Dominum.
Join us at Epworth Chapel on the Green at 7:00 as the promise of Advent becomes a joyful reality on Christmas Eve.
We will also sing “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Hark, The Herald Angels Sing” among other favorite carols, enjoy an inspiring homily from Pastor Brook Thelander, and give thanks for the birth of our Lord as we gather in Holy Communion— open to all.
O God, You have caused this holy night to shine with the brightness of the true Light: Grant that we, who have known the mystery of that Light on earth, may also enjoy him perfectly in heaven; where with You and the Holy Spirit he lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
